Child Hope International was founded in 2001 by Bill and Susette Manassero. Blessed with a gift to share the love of Jesus Christ through music and song, Bill and Susette began ministering to children around the world through Child Hope’s original program, “Mister Bill Music Ministry.”
 In 2004, the Manasseros traveled to Haiti at the urging of their 9 year old daughter Ariana who knew, from a very young age that she had a calling to serve the suffering children of Haiti. In Haiti, the Manasseros’ hearts were moved as they witnessed not only the spiritual hunger of the Haitian children but also the intense physical and emotional hunger of so many tragically abandoned orphans.
Convicted and empowered by the love of Christ, the Manasseros sold all they owned and moved, with their three young children to Haiti. Bill and Susette began the difficult task of helping homeless and desperate street children to turn their lives around. The process of redeeming the hearts, minds and bodies of these orphaned Haitian children was a mighty one.
The orphanage was named Maison de Lumiere (The Lighthouse). Through constant prayer, faith and an outpouring of the love of Christ and his Gospel message, the children of Maison de Lumiere were transformed!

Today the children who live in Maison de Lumiere and many children from the surrounding neighborhood are led to the ROCK, Jesus Christ, and are experiencing spiritual, physical and social healing through the love and care given through Child Hope International.
