  Our Graduates
The following are some of our kids who have transitioned out of our orphanage and an update on what they are doing
 
Alex

ALEX is an incredible young man with a deep love for the Lord. He stands out as one with a very sensitive heart and seriousness in his relationship with Jesus. He enjoys reading his Bible, please pray that Alex’s faith, will and love for God’s Word would grow and that he may become a Spirit-filled Christian leader. Alex is currently in the United States working on his GED and working in the retail sales and food industry.

Anderson

ANDERSON is a talented and kind boy. He is healthy and an excellent self-taught gymnast. An excellent soccer player, he has a local reputation as an unbeatable goalie. Shy and quiet, you will find him often in the background with a big smile on his face. A talented artist, you will see his art displayed at the boys home and the school. He works full-time as our MDL School Caretaker and attends school at night. He wants to become an electrical engineer.

Emilien

EMILIEN is very quiet and has such a sweet disposition about him. He may not talk much, but he smiles often. As a recent graduate of our orphanage, Emilien is now living on his own and working full-time as a carpenter doing kitchen cabinets at a company in Port-au-Prince called Maxima. Please pray that Emilien would grow in His walk with the Lord.

Israel

ISRAEL is one of our most technological savvy boys. As a recent graduate of our orphanage, he has moved out of our facilities and is currently living in a small apartment with his mother. Israel is continuing with school and is hoping to go to college or a technical school in the future. He produced his own CD with his vocal group Preachers4Christ that is selling well and even being played on local Haitian radio. Please pray that God would stay rooted in his faith in Christ, and that the Lord would guide him in his future endeavors.
 
 
James

JAMES is a strong, silent type. Although a bit shy and uncomfortable around crowds, he has strong leadership skills. He currently resides in the United States where he works for Bergeron Construction Company learning how to build roads. He recently passed the GED. He has a servant’s heart and loves Jesus very much. Please pray for James, that his faith would grow and that the Lord would reveal His will for James’ life.

 
Jeff

JEFF loves to be a part of any conversation or activity - listening, observing, or jumping right in to whatever might be happening. He always likes to be included. . Jeff is currently learning furniture making at our transition house. Please pray for Jeff as he continues to grow and mature, that he would come to know Jesus more and embrace the Lord's love and grace for him.

Jocelyn

JOCELYN was known as our in-house comedian and jokester. Always smiling and ready to joke around, he loves to have fun and is quite social. Jocelyn is currently in the United States working with his brother in Christ James and learning road construction skills. Please pray that the Lord will continue to shape and mold Jocelyn into a Godly man that will dramatically impact Haiti for Jesus.
 
Jonas

JONAS is a quiet and likeable young man who loves school and is always looking to help out. He says his best friend is Jesus and he loves to read his Bible every chance he gets. Jonas is currently working as our Boys Home caretaker and going to school in the evenings. Please pray for Jonas as he grows in the knowledge of Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
 
Mackenson

MACKENSON (MARKENSON) is one of the first graduates from our program. He loves to play soccer with the kids at the boys home or read the Bible during his free time. His heart is evangelism and sharing the hope and love of Jesus with others. During the days he is attending a Calvary Chapel Bible Training program and, prayerfully, he is considering a Bible training program in Africa. He is currently working as the caretaker of the Child Hope Guest House. You can often hear him worshiping or praying as he works around the Guest House.

MIKERLINE

MIKERLINE is our first female graduate from Maison de Lumiere. Mikerline is a quiet, soft spoken and mature young lady who desires to please God. She enjoys school and is a very good student. She is still learning about Jesus and the Bible. Please pray that she receives healing through her relationship with Jesus and that she grows in faith and love for him. Mikerline is Assistant Nanny at our girls home.

Patrick

PATRICK is a very nice and sincere young man. Already displaying strong leadership skills, Patrick is often known as an arbitrator and peace maker. He also looks after his sister Phara, who is living at the girls home. School is very important to him and he works hard on his studies. Patrick is currently working as our Staff Home Caretaker, translator and handy man. Please pray for Patrick that he would learn what God would have for his life and that he would continue to grow in his passion for Jesus and others.

Schneider

SCHNEIDERis a gentle and loving young man, a great role model, whom many of the younger boys look up to. He is a very personable and naturally gifted person at helping and teaching others, especially working with young children. He is still attending school and also works at our orphanage, assisting in taking care of the younger boys. He has expressed interest in continuing working with youth, possibly taking on more leadership roles in orphanage management or becoming a teacher. Please pray that Schnieder would continue to seek the Lord, be rooted in his faith, and pursue the calling that the Lord has for his future.
SEMY

SEMY is a sweet natured, easy going young man, who likes to joke around and laugh a lot. Already considered a "professional" comedian of sorts, the other boys have been known to pay him to make them laugh. He enjoys school and his favorite subjects are math, spelling, and social science. He likes to play a lot and is one of our best soccer and basketball players. One of his favorite activities is watching Brazil play soccer on television. He also loves singing in church and reading the Bible. The Gospel of John is his favorite book of the Bible. He loves Jesus and loves to worship Him. Please pray for Semy's continued growth in the Lord and that he would know and be able to follow God's plan for his life. Semy is starting his own motorcycle business.
 
 
Willy B.

WILLY B. is a special young man who God has truly saved and healed. When he first came to us, he was unable to walk or even sit up without using his arms to keep himself up. By God’s grace and His healing power, Willy B. can now walk, run, and even enjoy playing sports. As a recent graduate of our orphanage, he has moved out of our facilities and is living at one of our transition program apartments. He is enjoying his independence, cooking on his own, and hanging out with his roommate, Emilien. Willy is a hard worker and is interested in starting his own business. He is currently working on a water filtration business, but has also been training in carpentry and screen printing. Please pray that Willy would grow in his love and trust in the Lord and that he would continue to be diligent in pursuing the area of business that the Lord has called him to.
