An education in Haiti is a luxury most cannot afford. There are few public or free schools. The expense of uniforms, books and tuition are beyond the grasp of the average Haitian family. Without education, the generation-to-generation poverty and hopelessness continues.

After the earthquake in January 2010, we expanded our school, that previously was only for Pre-K through 3rd grade, to grades K-6. In addition to accommodating all of our K-6 graders, we also brought in children of our staff and needy children from the community.
