  Community Service

An important part of Child Hope’s ministry is to teach children that serving others is a critical part of who they are—as God blesses them, they are to bless others. Jesus called us to "love one another" and there is no better way to demonstrate that love than by serving others. The children of Maison de Lumiere are invited to participate in community service programs that offer help to widows, other orphans, disadvantaged and handicapped individuals, to name a few. Their roles may include handing out a bag of food, helping paint a poor widow's house or leading a bible study with village children. This element is what Maison de Lumiere, or The Lighthouse, is all about—that as we are blessed, we bless others and shine the light of Christ in all we do.
